When I'm talking of a Coded Movie I think first of a coded camera movie.
- Movie games have a coded camera too.
- Texture and Particle Movies are screen movies, it's like sitting in a cinema and looking to a screen.
Coded movies are to be seen while sitting on a prim or wearing a HUD, where a camera script is running. You see it on your monitor.
Game movies are to be seen while wearing a HUD, where a camera script is running. You have to wear a HUD, because you jump into what you see. That's not possible when you sit on a prim. You see the game on your monitor.
Texture movies and particle movies are to be seen sitting or standing in front of a screen in Second Life.
All these types of movies are coded/scripted with the Linden Scripting Language (LSL)
I use the term "coded" instead of "scripted" here, because a script means something different in movie making, the "script" is the story of the movie, with dialogs etc.
